Team Member Configuration

Overview

JASCI allows for fine-grain configuration when it comes to team member authority, access and visibility, which allows you to decide exactly what each user can see, use and impact. Here we will demonstrate several team member maintenance screens and how you can use them to create and customize new team member profiles.

Creating a New Team Member

  • To create a new team member, navigate to the Team Member Maintenance screen - typically under

Admin->User Setup. From there, select the ‘New’ button.

  • You will then be taken to the Team Members Maintenance page. Here you can assign a team member ID, and enter information about the team member, such as name, address and contact information.

  • On this screen you also have the option to specify the Company and Fulfillment Center(s) the new member will be associated with (and have access to). This will allow the user to view all data related to the fulfillment center(s).

  • Once all information has been entered, click Save/Update.

Password Maintenance

  • Once a team member has been created, the next step is to setup their login information. Navigate to Team Member Security Authorizations, again under Admin->User Setup.

  • Search by the Team Member ID (case sensitive) that was assigned in the previous step - or display all users - and click ‘Edit’ on the user.

  • You will then be taken to the Security Setup Maintenance screen, where you can enter a temporary password, as well as desired security questions. Once these have been entered, click ‘Save/Update’

  • This password will be used for the initial sign-on, and the team member will then be requested to update it to their preferred password.

Menu Profile Assignment

  • The next step in Team Member Configuration is to assign the desired menu profiles to the user.

  • This can be done with the Menu Profile Assignment option, under Admin->Menu. Once again, enter the team member ID and click ‘Edit’.

  • From this screen you can control exactly which menu options a user will have access to.

  • To configure these profiles, select the profile from the left window that you would like to add for the user and click the right directional arrow. You should then see it move to window on the right.

  • Similarly, to remove a menu profile from that user, click the profile in the right window to be removed and click the left directional arrow.

  • Once all desired menu profiles have been assigned, click ‘Save/Update’.

User Authorities

  • Some processes in JASCI have can have authorities tied to them, which prevents an unauthorized user from performing them. These can include actions such as changing the status of a work, inventory adjustment, and reassigning works. Authorities can also have specific authority levels tied to them for even more fine-grain control.

  • These authorities can be assigned to users through the Authority menu option, under Admin->User Setup.

  • First, enter the team member ID and click the ‘Authority’ button.

  • Then, click the green ‘New’ button to add a new authority, or ‘Edit’ to adjust an existing one. Here you can select the Authority ID and Level that you would like to assign to that user. Then click ‘Save/Update’.

  • ANALYTICS - This authority was for JASCI's old analytic reports on the front end. Now, the analytics function was replaced by APEX report; this authority is not usable anymore and can be removed.

  • CHGSTATUS - Allows user to update a work to ‘COMPLETED’ status.

  • CYCLECOUNT - Allows user to cycle count inventory locations.

  • INVENTORY - Allow user to access the inventory adjustment desktop managing function.

  • KITREQUEST - Allow user to utilize KIT Build function to build kits for needed sales orders.

  • MULTIFC - Allow user to access multiple fulfillment centers.

  • ORDERMANAGEMENT - Allow user to access "Sales Order Maintenance" function to update carrier, service, customer ship to address, etc. information for a sales order.

  • PUBLICGRAVITY - Allow user to access gravity function to add Priority code to works.

  • REASSIGN - Allow user to reassign work from a responsible user to another available user.

  • EMPTYTOTE - Allow users to use an empty tote in the packing program.

  • ROLL BACK INVENTORY - Allows user to create an automatic putaway that will move the inventory from PAK/SHP back to its original area.

  • SYSTEM - Allows user to delete carrier services.
