Gravity Waveless Work Management

Gravity is a function of JASCI that allows certain team members to observe and make changes on the priority of work, utilizing real-time reporting on work. This can be configured specific to each user, depending on access and how they want to design their work profiles.

Below is a guide on utilizing Gravity and building profiles within it.

Accessing Gravity

For users that have this menu option assigned to them, it is typically in its own Menu Profile.

  1. View the Menu Profile Assignment

  2. Click on the Profile “Gravity” or wherever your menu option is housed

  3. Open the Menu Option “Gravity Waveless Work Management

The location of menu options may vary by company or user, please view the pages on Menu Profile, Menu Profile Assignment, and Menu Options to learn more about this.

Gravity Preferences

First you must apply some preferences for how you will view Gravity. Gravity involves metrics on Aging Work and Labor Calculations, which can be influenced in the preferences.

Choose which value you would like Labor Calculated by, which is going to leverage values you may have entered in the Labor Standard Maintenance. If you have no Labor Standards entered, that is ok but it will not show time estimates for each profile.

Choose the amount of minutes that you would like aging work to display yellow, red, and flashing red. These colors can be helpful for monitoring work that has been available for a certain period of time.

Preferences can be adjusted at any point with a button located in the profile page of Gravity. The profile page is used to create and maintain Gravity Tabs and Profiles.

Gravity Profiles

The Gravity Profiles and Tabs that display on the main screen are configured within the profiles portion of the program. Click the Profile button, and this will bring up a list of profiles that you can maintain or add to.

Creating and Editing Profiles

By Clicking Add Profile, you will be brought to a screen to enter your Profile Details and Sequence. This can also be accessed by editing, adding to, or copying an existing profile.

Profile Details

Tab Name

  • Which Tab you want this profile under, it can match an existing Tab or form a new one.

Profile Name

  • Main Title of your Gravity Profile.

Descriptions

  • These show up next to the profile name in the viewpoint to provide additional details about the profile.

Public

  • Gravity Profiles that are public are able to be seen by others with access to Gravity. These profiles can only be edited by the creator of them.

Header and Line Sequences

Sequence #

  • The sequential order in which JASCI will look to find data according to the rules you enter

And/Or

  • Determines if your rules are combined or separate in the search to display data that you are interested in.

    • For example, the image above shows 1 AND 2, so therefore it will look for work that is a Pallet Pick Work Type and in an Open Status.

Parentheses - “( “ and “)”

  • To group sets of rules together, but to control how they are combined. Similar to how databases or math equations use parentheses.

Column

  • Represents the main field or column of data in the work tables that you are wanting to have a specific search.

    • For example, Work Type was selected for column in the image above. This profile will consider that column and the value we listed, which is Pallet Pick.

    • Column fields are dependent on the work table structures. Gravity is broken into header and line level specific searches, and you will notice different column options for each.

      • Header Level columns include overall details like Order #, Customer, Work Type, Sales Channel, etc.

      • Line Level Columns include line level details such as product, location, quantity, etc.

Operator

  • Based on your value, how you want the search to decide which results are shown. Similar to database searches and mathematics

    • For example: = is looking for exact match to the value, < is looking for less than the value, etc.

Value

  • Value is the actual term or amount that you want the profile to find and display results for.

    • Values can be selected or entered, depending on if the column has existing options to select.

    • For example, Work Type will list a drop down of all available types to select, but quantity will expect a number to be entered.

Press the ADD Button to add your Gravity Profile. Return to the Gravity screen to view the new profile.
