Location Checks are generated by the system for two main reasons:

  1. A cycle count was conducted and a variance was found at the location. If the user doesn’t have proper access to adjust the quantity at the time of the found discrepancy a location check generated.

  2. An operator performed a cut during the picking process generating a location check, for the team to review and confirm the quantity of the product

Location checks are configurable to place the stock on hold until the location check process is completed. To complete a location check follow these steps.

Step 1: Confirm location, product and quantity

  • The operator selects ‘Location Check’ and the system displays the location to review

  • The operator scans the location

    • If the location is invalid the system will display an error message and prompt the user to scan the valid location

  • The system displays the product(s), quantity(ies), and if applicable the inventory controls (lot, serial, best before date, etc)

  • The operator ensures the product(s) and quantity(ies) are correct

    • If the product(s) and/or quantity(ies) are not correct the system directs the user to perform a cycle count for the location

  • Once the product(s) and quantity(ies) are confirmed the location check is complete

    • If there are more location checks to process the operator is returned to Step 1, and the system will display the next location

  • No labels
