Replenishment is an integral part of effective warehouse management. Replenishment is the process of getting inventory from bulk/reserve storage locations to more accessible and compact, forward pick locations. JASCI provides proactive (maintenance) and reactive (demand based) inventory replenishment workflows to ensure enough inventory is available in a pick location prior to operators being sent to the location to pick an order.

Setting Up Replenishments

Automated replenishment is configured at the location level in order for JASCI to determine what needs to be replenished and how much can fit in that location. This can be found in the Replenishment Controls area.

Replenishment Check

JASCI will check the levels against the minimum during the picking process. It will also check all locations (setup for bulk replenishment) on a schedule that runs regularly.

Inventory Availability

If the check determines a location is ready to be replenished, JASCI looks for stock available for replenishment. In order for stock to qualify as replenishment stock, it must be stored in the Area marked for as replenishment stock. This is most commonly a BULK storage area. Stock in other areas, such as quarantine stock or stock awaiting put away, will not qualify unless its location is flagged as such.

If available inventory is not found in a replenishment location, the location will wait for stock to be available.

Replenishment Creation

If inventory is available for replenishment, JASCI will automatically create a LETDOWN or a RESTOCK.

Lot-Controlled Product

Lot-controlled product may only be replenished with the same lot number. If product with the same lot is not available, the current lot must be cleared before the location can be replenished with a new lot.
