In normal cases, if an order is picked and packed and the customer decides to cancel the order, the inventory needs to be manually put back into its area via Inventory Adjustment. This new function will create an automatic putaway that will move the inventory from PAK/SHP back to its original area. Users will need the Authority ID level added to use this feature.
We recommend doing integration tests in UAT before using this feature in Production to guarantee that the inventory integration will not be affected, causing mismatches.
How to set up this feature:
Go to ADMIN → Team Member → Authority menu option.
Click 'Display All' and choose user.
Click 'New' to add new Authority.
Select Authority ID 'Roll back Inventory' and click the 'Save/Update' button.
How to use this feature:
Please note that the order needs to be in 'WORKING' status for Rollback button to appear and work.
Click on the 'Rollback' button.
Select a Work Bench from dropdown and click 'OK' to proceed.
Selecting a Work Bench will print a putaway label.
'Rollback successful' message will appear, if successful.
Changes will be reflected as status becomes 'Completed', the Area is blank, and the Rollback button disappears.
Error Messages
Here are some scenarios where the Rollback will not work:
If the order was already completed: "Order already completed. Cannot be rolled back."
If order was shipped/has tracking: "Order has shipped and contains active tracking. Shipment must be voided before rolling back"
