Building Kits
A work order for kits must be created prior to picking. Review the “Kit Request” work instruction.
Picking the Kit
Open “Cluster Pick”
On the mobile scanner, select the “Cluster Pick” work flow.
Scan Work Zone & Cart
On the mobile scanner, select the “Cluster Pick” work flow.
The operator scans the work zone.
Work zone: DEFAULT
Note JASCI is case sensitive!
The operator proceeds to scan the kit cart.
OPEN sales orders are allocated to the pick tote at this point.
The kit cart ID is not the LPN.
Verify Location
The operator is directed to a location.
The operator will verify the location by scanning the location bar code.
Pick Product
The operator picks the product from the direct location.
Product details will be displayed.
If the product is not in the directed location, select the “Cut” button.
If the product is in the directed location but the expected quantity is not, select the “Cut" button.
The operator scans the product barcode.
If the product barcode does not scan, notify a supervisor.
Scan Kit Cart Slot
The operator scans the slot LPN and transfers the picked product into the directed slot.
The slot LPN is not the kit cart ID.
Repeat
Repeat for all child products.
Once all child products are collected, the operator will need to physically and systematically build a kit.
Kit Build
On the desktop, select ‘Kit Build’.
Inventory -> Kitting -> Kit Build
The operator proceeds to scan/enter the kit build work bench.
The operator scans/enters the cart ID that was used to pick the child products for the kit.
If the operator has to build additional kits due to a CUT, the operator will need to manually complete the work and free the carts.
If the operator does NOT have to build additional kits due to a CUT, the operator will enter the total amount of built kits.
All child products picked will be displayed.
Click the “Build” button to build the child products into a kit.
The operator will verify the amount of kits being built and any extra information if needed (e.g lots, expiry, serial numbers).
The operator will click the "Build" button again.
JASCI creates putaway work and completes the following for the built kits:
Slots the parent product.
Prints the putaway label (AKA LPN).
